Three Minute Thursday - Perfect Punch birthday

Dear me! My titles are beginning to sound a little violent now - but rest assured, nothing could be further from my mind! It's Three Minute Thursday here at Crafting Clare's Paper Moments and we certainly don't have time for anything of that nature! Instead, here's a birthday card that you can whip up in a few minutes:

This card is incredibly simple and relies on colour and texture for its impact. I cut a card base from the mouthwateringly fabulous Tangerine Tango textured card stock, topped it with the Happy Birthday sentiment from Perfect Punches and added a party hat for that celebratory feel!

The stamp is coloured with gorgeous shades from my Brights set of markers, stamped onto Whisper White card stock and simply punched out with the extra large oval punch. I love the way that so many of Stampin' Up's stamps have a coordinating punch - it's so quick and convenient. The finishing touch is the little party hat - punched out of this Old Olive striped designer paper with one arm of the star punch.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Perfect Punches
Ink: Brights markers (I used Old Olive, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango)
Card stock: Tangerine Tango textured card stock, Whisper White
Other: Patterns designer paper, extra large oval punch, star punch
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

We always sit down to dinner together in my family and yesterday, at dessert, my oldest son pointed out that the syrup sponge was a little burnt on the top. (I'd forgotten to put it in the steamer and so I'd baked it in the oven instead to save time - it works but is never quite as successful!) "It's still lovely Mummy," he added hastily seeing my downcast face. "It's just a bit of constructive criticism that's all - and that's always a good thing!""Oh is it?!" I said. "Well here's a bit of constructive criticism for you - your room is a mess!" He looked at me with reproachful eyes. "Now you've gone a bit too far!" he said.

Thank you for joining me for Three Minute Thursday today - I really appreciate you spending your time with me and perhaps leaving a comment. I shall be back tomorrow when I think I might show you some little gifts I've been giving! Have a lovely day,

  10. Hi Vicky,

Beautiful vibrant colour, and simply perfect!

PS... Vicky, I know you have your blog to fall back on. But try to write down all of these wonderful, priceless, comments that your children come up with. Because they do come up with so many, that you forget them over time. It's good to look back in a few years and they will make you smile. Like the time when my young son asked if they slaughter carrots!! I won't go into that one xx
