The piece of designer paper with the bird on it has been torn and mounted on a piece of Early Espresso card stock stamped in Whisper White craft ink with my French Foliage stamp set. (What on earth did I use for everything before I had this set?!!)
Here's a close up! To add a little interest to the card I knotted a piece of Marina Mist taffeta ribbon round a clip and slid it over the Early Espresso panel. This is one of the clips from the assortment in this month's free gift by the way. There are three styles and they make brilliant embellishments for all sorts of cards and 3D projects.
Look at that gorgeous bird! I shaded it with a brown watercolour pencil to give it a bit more prominence. This Botanical Gazette designer paper is just beautiful - just look at all the detail in this piece! I was going to add a sentiment on a tag tied onto the clip but I didn't really want to add any more to it - it works fine as a note card.
Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: French Foliage
Ink: Whisper White craft ink
Card stock: Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso
Other:Botanical Gazette designer paper, watercolour pencils, clip assortment, Marina Mist 1/8" taffeta ribbon
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.
I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent me get well messages while I had my chest infection with the dalek voice. You'll be glad to know I feel on top of the world now and have my normal voice back. My children are slightly disappointed but for me the novelty wore off quite quickly! And I've regained my ability to empty a room in seconds by singing rousing songs from old musicals - yay!
Thank you for looking here today. See you soon!
Beautiful card Vicky! I love how you've made the bird image on this DS paper the focal point! I too absolutely love the french foliage set. What did we do before this????
