Itty Bitty flowers

I've just got back from Northern Ireland where I've been VERY well looked after! I didn't want you thinking I'd fallen off the ferry so I thought I'd post this little note card:

The pretty central panel is an image from the beautiful Just Believe stamp set, cut out and layered onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder. But have you seen the flowers? Come and have a closer look:

Aren't they delicate looking?! I've cut them out of Pink Pirouette card stock using one of the little flower punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. Snipping between the petals gives them a little more dimension and one of the pretty self-adhesive pearls makes the perfect flower centre. I absolutely love these little punches and have lots more ideas for using them - watch this space!

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Just Believe
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush markers
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette
Other: Itty Bitty Punch shapes, Square Lattice embossing folder, Basic pearls
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

I really do apologise for not doing nearly enough commenting on your blogs this past week. I promise I haven't abandoned you - it's only that I've been on holiday and I shall try to catch up this week. As I said last week, my posts will be a little erratic during August, with no Masculine Monday or Three Minute Thursday, but things will return to normal in September.

Now for anyone who's trying to control a sweet tooth, why not take a leaf out of my youngest son's book: we travelled through Scotland on our way to Northern Ireland and while we were there I suggested we buy some of their 'tablet' - a crumbly, sweet fudgy confection. "No, it's a bit sweet for me," said my son to my astonishment. "I think I'll just have a chocolate bar," he added, ruining the effect!

Enjoy the rest of your week and I'll hope to see you back here very soon.

  9. Hi Vicky,

what a sweetie, just love it. I often use those pearls as flower hearts too, they're so subtile.

Give my regards to the little ice-cream man and tell him I would go for the chocolate too ;-)

    Hugs,

    Lins ;)

  15. Such a pretty card Vicky, so fresh looking. Glad you had a good holiday and I have very fond memories of tablet! As a child we had a Scottish neighbour who made it regularly and always gave us some! Our local farm shop sells some which occasionally finds its way into my basket:)
