This month's challenge is to make cards with a seaside theme and there are already some fabulous entries! Why not pop across and have a look at all the inspiration and then join in with a card of your own? They'll be having a sale at the end of the month so they need as many cards as possible to sell - and they don't have to be on this theme either! Here's what I made:
There's very little stamping on this card but it was great fun to make. I made the little beach hits out of card stock scored on my Fiskars trimmer with the scoring blade and sponged with ink. Each hut has been given a roof with a marker, a door in matching card stock and a door handle made with coordinating brads - so cute! This So Saffron Patterns designer paper makes great sand pasted onto Bashful Blue card stock for the sky...
... although this photo makes it look turquoise! Well, Tempting turquoise would work just as well! Have you seen these seagulls? I scrapbook once a month with a lovely friend who showed me how to make them out of folded card stock and a circle punch - clever don't you think?! I couldn't get over them!
Here's the sentiment which I also think is rather clever! It's from a get well sentiment in the Hopeful Thoughts set and I've used a marker and a stamp-a-majig to take just the first two words. It makes a useful card to have in your stash as it could be used for many occasions - you just add what you're wishing the recipient inside the card!
This card was made entirely from my snippets boxes (see this post for pics) so I'm joining Jules' Crafty Snippet Challenge again this week!
Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Hopeful Thoughts
Ink: So Saffron, Pretty In Pink, Marina Mist
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Pretty In Pink, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Other: Subtles brads, Subtles Patterns designer paper pack, stamp-a-majig
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593 and I'll be happy to help.
I've had some more exciting news too as I mentioned yesterday. I've been offered an impromptu week's holiday in a beautiful area of Devon, so the children and I will be off tomorrow leaving my long-suffering husband here to work in peace. Although I'll miss him, this will be a lovely rest for me and I'm really looking forward to it. I have scheduled some cards for next week, so do pop back to see those, and if you'd like to order supplies just leave an email message for me and I'll get back to you very soon.
Hugs,
Three minute Thursday will be back on 8th September
