Three Minute Thursday - Welcome Christmas sledging

Good morning! Are you ready for another in my weekly series of speedy cards? We are experiencing quite a heatwave in Buckingham and in much of the UK but I'm definitely bringing the temperature down today with another trip to Christmas-land! Come and have a look:

This has to be one of the quickest Christmas cards I've come up with yet but it's also one of my favourites. The Not Quite Navy card base is swiped with a Whisper White craft ink pad and I love the snowy, icy effects this technique creates.

Those fabulous sledging figures are stamped on top with Basic Black ink - I did wonder whether the image would show up properly over the craft ink but it works brilliantly. There were a few little spots that didn't 'take' but it's easy to run over those with a Basic Black marker.

The sentiment is from Season of Joy, another of my favourite Christmas sets. I stamped it in more of the Whisper White craft ink. This ink is a real must-have - not only for Christmas cards but all year round! The falling snow was made with dots of my Uni-ball Signo pen which shows up beautifully on the dark card stock. It doesn't look great in the close-up photo but it's quite effective when you see the whole card!

Supplies needed for this fast card:
Stamps: Welcome Christmas, Season of Joy (sentiment)
Ink: Whisper White craft ink, Basic Grey classic ink
Card stock: Not Quite Navy
Other: Uni-ball Signo pen, Basic Black marker, Stamp-a-majig.
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593. Click here to view the Last Chance List - only two more days to bag a bargain!

There are only two more days until the brand new Stampin' Up catalogue goes live! Are you ready? I have catalogues ready to post so, if you'd like to have a browse, just click the paypal button on my sidebar and I'll get one sent to you first class. There'll also be a link in my sidebar on the 1st October so that you can view it online. If you're planning on making an order with me, you could be lucky enough to win a prize - there'll be something different every day next week!

Don't forget in all the excitement that there are only two days to order from the Last Chance List - and also from the mini catalogue. Baby Blossoms, Plane and Simple, Strength and Hope... these are just some of my favourites that won't be available after Friday. I'd hate for you to miss out.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. I'll be back tomorrow with a sneak peek and - with any luck -an announcement! Do come and join me!

Hugs,
