Isn't this tree image just so beautiful?! I love the graceful curves of its branches. I coloured the trunk and branches with an Early Espresso marker, and the leaves by tapping various markers onto them.
Here's a closer view - and you can see that I used River Rock ink and my French Foliage stamp set to create a soft background. The tree is grounded by sponging a little Early Espresso ink at the base using a piece of torn scrap paper as a mask.
Having heard today that my cousin isn't well, I used the Get Well Soon stamp from my Sincere Salutations set and I shall post the card off to her tomorrow to cheer her up a bit.
Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Hopeful Thoughts, French Foliage, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Early Espresso, River Rock
Card stock: Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede
Other: Markers, stamp-a-majig
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.
Does anyone else have trouble recognising friends in their cars? I just don't remember number plates and am constantly waving at cars driven by complete strangers or totally blanking close friends and relatives. I hadn't realised how bad this problem was until this morning when I waved at a black Landrover while taking my son to school and was heartened to see a friend inside waving back. My son noted this too and gave a great cheer that made me jump. "Yay Mummy!" he shouted encouragingly. "You've waved at someone who you actually know!"
Thank you for visiting me today - I really appreciate you spending your time with me. I'll be back tomorrow with some cameos - they're all the rage at the moment! - and I'll hope to see you then.
Hugs,
What a simply gorgeous card!
