I {heart} Hearts and Flowers

Good morning! Isn't it a great challenge over at Less is More today?! Mandi and Chrissie are asking us to make a one-layer card using hearts. When I was a little girl I played a piano piece called Hearts and Flowers and I've always associated the two together. So, bearing that in mind, here's my take on the challenge:

I used the dotted line heart from I {heart} Hearts to make these contemporary-style flowers - and yes, in case you're wondering, I did use a stamp-a-majig to get them placed accurately!

I rather like the simple flower shape the overlapping hearts make - and I love these gorgeous new colours Pool Party and Island Indigo! I decorated each of my flowers with one of the large self-adhesive pearls.

A simple sentiment - this one's from Thank You Kindly - and the card is done! I think I might make a set of these in different colours - but not right now because my lovely friend will be ringing the doorbell in a minute, as she's driving us to the Olney handmade and Vintage fair, and there might be some raised eyebrows if I'm still in my nightdress!

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: I {heart} Hearts, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Card stock: Naturals Ivory
Other: Basic Pearls, stamp-a-majig
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

Do you know I'm still so ignorant about 'web speak' I have absolutely no idea what many of the acronyms mean. I caught on quickly to LOL of course, although my husband once amused my daughter by writing LOL in her birthday card when he meant 'lots of love'! ROFL is another one I've come across quite a lot in the entertaining crafting world! But I've only just grasped the fact that OH means 'other half' and not Old Husband as I'd previously thought... By the time I've caught up it'll all be obsolete!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend. I'll be back later to have a look at all your wonderful creations.

See you later,
