Masculine Monday - Easy Events with a kiss!

Good morning! Several challenges have been buzzing around my head over the weekend: CAS-ual Fridays wants us to make a tag, The St Lukes Charity Challenge is asking for Christmas cards... not to mention my own personal challenge of coming up with a masculine card each Monday! Well, I've come up with something that covers all eventualities! Come and have a look:

You could use the tag on this card on its own to embellish a gift or use it as part of a card as I've done here. But one thing is for sure - it is to be sent to someone very special!

The mistletoe is from Easy Events, an amazing stamp set with images and sentiments that cover pretty much every occasion you could imagine! I stamped it in Pear Pizzazz ink then coloured the leaves with a Certainly Celery marker. The berries are coloured with a white gel pen and topped with a bead of Glossy Accents. The mistletoe stamp was also stamped onto the card base using a versamark pad for a subtle tone-on-tone look.

The sentiment is from a brilliant set called Petite Pairs consisting of two-part sentiments designed to be used on the inside as well as the outside of a card. The one I've used today 'sending a kiss' has  'to make it better' which you could stamp on the inside of the card - although that's obviously not appropriate for this card unless you've been having a row!

It's so easy to make tags look 'finished' by cutting out a circle with a 3/4" circle punch, gluing it onto a tag, then punching through both layers with a hole punch - I used the large hole punch on my cropadile. Linen thread makes a good embellishment and has a more masculine feel than ribbon.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Easy Events, Petite Pairs
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Other: Versamark pad, Certainly Celery marker, Signo gel pen, Glossy Accents, 3/4" circle punch, cropadile, corner rounder, linen thread, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend. We attended the remembrance service outside our church on Sunday which I always find very moving - especially the bit where they read out the names of local men that died in the first and second world wars. Some of the names are of brothers, or of fathers and sons and my thoughts always turn to their wives and mothers. I can only imagine how they must have felt when they were told that they wouldn't be seeing their loved ones again and some women must have lost all their menfolk. I can't help but think of my own husband and my precious sons and how hard it would be to carry on without them.

Thank you for visiting me today. I'll be back tomorrow and you're very welcome to join me if you have a minute!

Hugs,
