Three Minute Thursday - get well soon cherries

It suddenly occurred to me that I've got the Christmas card bit well between my teeth - but maybe you're not ready for that yet? Well, having been a bit poorly myself recently and knowing quite a few others that have had to contend with nasty bugs, I thought a quick get well card might be timely. Here's what I came up with:

Isn't this cherry image gorgeous?! I love how graphic it is - and I also love how the get well sentiment from Sincere Salutations fits perfectly around it - well it did when I used my stamp-a-majig anyway! This is a one layer, clean and simple card which relies on colour and position for its effect. I chose real red to make the fruit pop, and Pear Pizzazz for the stalks and leaf, and the sentiment is stamped in  Basic Grey so that it didn't compete with the image.

It's always tricky photographing predominantly white images, but I hope you can see how luscious looking the cherries are - just the thing to tempt someone with a lagging appetite!

All the lovely Button Buddies images are designed to be embellished with buttons but they look just as good without for a different look.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Button Buddies, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Basic Grey
Card stock: Whisper White
Other: Real Red and Pear Pizzazz markers, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

Last night when we were having dinner, I reminded my daughter that she had things to do. "Don't forget to practice upon the pianoforte," I said using old-fashioned English to make her smile. My youngest son had not heard this word before. "What's a pianoforte?" he asked. I explained that we'd usually say piano, the shortened version of the word, just as we'd say fridge for refrigerator and phone for telephone. "Or XBox when we 're talking about the XBox 360," suggested my older son who can never resist an opportunity to talk about his beloved Xbox. I told him repressively that it wasn't quite the same. "Yeah," said my daughter scathingly. "We're talking about USEFUL things!"

I'd like to give a huge welcome to my new followers and a great big thank you to everyone that supports my blog and my business. I am absolutely blessed to be doing what I love every day and I really, really appreciate it.

See you tomorrow,
