Welcome Christmas silhouette

Good morning! Just popping in with a quick card for the Less is More challenge where this week's theme is 'silhouettes'. The minute I saw this I thought of the gorgeous silhouettes in the Welcome Christmas stamp set and whipped up this snowy scene:

It was quite hard to photograph this predominantly white card so please bear with all the photos! The sponged and stamped panel has been mounted onto Cherry Cobbler card stock although you really can't appreciate the gorgeous rich colour of it here...

...or here! Still, you can see that I masked off the snowy ground with a torn piece of scrap paper and sponged the sky in Baja Breeze ink. I sometimes like to add a touch of pink at the skyline for a winter scene. The sledging children silhouette was stamped in Basic Black ink over the top of the sponged background and then I added snowflakes with my versamark pen and embossed them with white embossing powder.

You can see them a little bit better in this photo. I zoomed in here because this is my favourite part of the whole card! The flourish is from Season of Joy - isn't it fabulous?! - and I stamped it off before stamping onto the panel. It makes such a lovely base for the sentiment I think.

This group of sledging children is a gorgeous image too and perfect for making outdoor winter scenes.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Welcome Christmas, Season of Joy, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Basic Black
Card stock: Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Other: Versamark pen, white embossing powder, heat tool, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

Christmas is definitely on its way - my youngest son started humming Away in a Manger yesterday. You'll get some idea of life in our house if I tell you that my daughter joined in, but meowing instead of humming, after which we all joined in. When we had finished meowing our way through Away in a Manger, my eldest son beamed around at us. "Now that's what I call Christmas spirit!" he said.

I'd better go off and do my chores now, but I shall be back later to enjoy all your silhouettes.

Hugs,
