In love with Easy Events

Every now and again you discover a stamp set that is so versatile that it seems to be permanently out on your desk. Well today I'm using a set like that for my Three Minute Thursday card! Easy Events is one of Stampin' Up's most popular sets - probably because you get so much for your money. But hang on - here's how to get even more for your money: You get 8 fabulous wood mounted images with sentiments for £29.95 and, if you add the heart punch I've used today for £15.50, it comes to £45.45 - which means you're eligible to choose a free Sale-a-bration item! How much of a bargain is that?!

If you prefer clear mount you get even more! Why not add some beautiful Pool Party card stock to your order?  Easy Events clear mount + heart punch + A4 card stock = £45.70 - bingo! you get a free set with that! Click here to see all the exclusive Sale-a-bration goodies and bag yourself a bargain!

And when you've done that (!) come and have a look at today's fast card:

It's a valentine - although it would be equally at home as a wedding or anniversary card. I love this cute bird image with the little heart and it fits perfectly in the large heart punch. When I planned this card, I didn't allow time for a mat but when I put the card together I really wanted another touch of red to link with the heart and sentiment. It's still a very quick card though!

Here's a close up of the heart. I punched a post it note with the heart punch to make a mask and sponged inside it with Pool Party ink. Keeping the mask in place, I stamped the bird image in Basic Grey and coloured it in using markers for the leaves and heart and a blender pen and Pool Party ink for the birds. Easy Events has lots of sentiments that would work with this image like 'sending you love' and 'wedding wishes' but I chose to go for this little sentiment from Tiny Tags.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Easy Events, Tiny Tags
Ink: Pool Party, Basic Grey, Real Red plus Real Red and Pear Pizzazz markers
Card stock: Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Other: Large Heart punch, Stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to offer help and advice. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

One of the benefits of having a new carpet fitted is that my youngest son has been prompted to have a sort-out in his room. One of the things he found on his music shelf was a nursery rhymes CD from when he was a tot. "40 favourite nursery rhymes!" read the blurb on the CD but the rest was obscured by a sticker saying rather surprisingly: "Includes the hit single Dead Ringer For Love"! My son's explanation for this was that he'd enjoyed putting stickers on things when he was little - he'd taken this one off his father's Meatloaf album 'Bat Out of Hell' and placed it on his own CD!

Well it's time for me to have a bit of a tidy up now! Shame the house doesn't sort itself out really! Enjoy your day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hugs,

  1. A super card, with such a sweet little image, Vicky...and could be sent to just about anyone for Valentine's day:)

I love to read your real life stories, Vicky. Your son and his stickers reminds me of our son, who adorned the inside of his wardrobe doors with hundreds of the darned things. He's now 28 and flown the nest. His wardrobes are now my craft cupboards, and those stickers are still well and truly stuck!!!

  3. You know, you have far too many brilliant ideas for me to steal!! I just love the sponged heart as a background to the cute birds, Vicky; fabulous! Such a sweet little card. By the way, yes, I most probably did brush shoulders with your hubby in Las Vegas - we stayed at the Venetian, where THOUSANDS of CES attendees flocked every day!
