Three minute Lovely as a Tree twinchie

Lovely as a Tree what? I hear you ask. Twinchie! A twinchie is a two inch square piece of artwork and I am so excited to have found a new challenge blog dedicated to them. It's called Show us your Twinchies and is a fortnightly challenge (which is helpful for people like me who have no sense of time!) The first one was launched a few days ago and it looks great fun - and of course with a brilliant name like that, it would be rude not to join in! Here's my twinchie:

It's Three Minute Thursday here so my twinchie had to be very quick and simple - more in the nature of a doodle than a piece of artwork! I cut a piece of watercolour paper and sponged in a background before stamping my trees. Then I tapped a bit of colour onto the bare branches with a couple of markers and gave it a quick once over with an aqua painter. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes which contains a load of sentiments the perfect size for this kind of scale.

I mounted my twinchie onto an Early Espresso card base which I'd scored with my Simply Scored for a bit of interest. This is one of the quickest ways of making a background I know! You may be wondering why I'm sounding so chirpy while making a sympathy card but it's not required thank goodness - it's just for my stash.

Here's what you'll need to make today's card:
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Always Artichoke
Card stockEarly Espresso, watercolour paper
Other: Markers, aqua painter, Simply Scored, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these items for you and can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I'm committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to offer help and advice. To place your order, just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593. Your free brad and ribbon set will be added automatically to any order of £45 or more.

Now I can't be hanging around here chatting as we have a birthday going on in our family today and I have a very special chocolate cake to bake! Happy birthday to my hubby - yes Simon, I know you're reading this!

I'll be back tomorrow with a card that happened because I had a pair of scissors in my hand! See you then,

  19. I love that many of your SU! cards are not immediately recognizeable as SU! product. (this is a compliment, by the way - keep reading!). It means that you are very clever and creative in using the products that everyone has in ways that not everyone does. Love seeing your work!
