Today's card was made for a lovely lady that joined my team recently. Joining Stampin' Up is such an exciting decision to reach and I always send a pack of items that will be useful for starting your business, as well as a card to say a great big welcome!
If you've ever wondered whether you could earn money from your passion, I'm here to tell you that yes, you can! I have thoroughly enjoyed building up a business from my hobby and find Stampin' Up an incredibly supportive and encouraging company to work with. Everyone runs their business in a different way, so there's definitely a way to make it work for you - all you need to bring to the equation is hard work and dedication. If that sounds like your kind of thing, what are you waiting for? The starter kit costs only £99/129€ and it's yours to keep whatever happens. Click here for more information, or feel free to give me a call.
Come and have a look at my 'welcome to the Inkredibles' card:
I've used my favourite floral in the catalogue for this one, Summer Silhouettes, stamping a riot of those gorgeous leaves and flowers on a panel cut out with one of the larger Labels framelits.
The panel has been mounted on an embossed layer. For a subtler embossed look, I've been putting the card stock in my embossing folder and running it through the Big Shot with this sandwich: (from bottom to top) Multi-purpose platform open at tab 1, cutting pad, embossing folder containing card stock, crease pad. Once it's been embossed I run it through again using this sandwich: (from bottom to top) Multi-purpose platform with both tabs open, cutting pad, embossed card stock (folder taken away), crease pad, cutting pad. Try it - I think it looks rather elegant!
One side was cut off my shaped panel which left handily placed indents for me to tie Wisteria Wonder bakers twine around. I made tags to tie to it using the Word Window punch - one was stamped with part of one of the stamps from A Word For You and the other was handwritten with the INKredibles - the name of my team.
I thought this card would work for the Make My Monday challenge - Use Your Favourite Flower. I adore flowers and wouldn't be able to pick a favourite but this is my favourite floral stamp set of all time - does that count?!
Here's what you'll need to make this card
Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, A Word For You
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Gumball Green, River Rock, Always Artichoke
Card stock: Whisper White
Other: Wisteria Wonder bakers twine, Word Window punch, Square Lattice embossing folder, Big Shot, Labels framelits

I don't mind telling you that I'm rather glad it's Friday - it's taking me a long time to recover properly from that horrid bronchial flu. Earlier in the week, when my daughter asked for a lift back from one of her after-school activities, I was betrayed into saying "Oh no! Do you really have to go?" She was sympathetic but couldn't resist saying "Oh dear, did I accidentally try to have fun?!" Later, she sent me a cartoon of a miserable-looking man with the caption: 'Once I tried to have fun. It was awful!' Well they do say laughter is the best medicine don't they, so I should soon be on the mend.
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you very soon,
