A Patterned Occasions valentine

I'm definitely in the mood for lurve this week so the CASual Fridays Love Letters theme seemed a perfect challenge for me! The brief was to 'use letters in a creative way on your CAS card' so I got my alphabet dies out and came up with this:

The sentiment that normally goes with this gorgeous little Patterned Occasions elephant is 'thanks a ton' and it set me thinking about other suitable elephant-type sentiments. And with Valentines day coming up, what could be better than Big love?!

The Timeless Type alphabet dies that I used to cut the word 'BIG' are retired now but the Typeset Alphabet would work just as well. I've been stroking my gorgeous designer papers from the new mini catalogue and thought strips of these two papers would make a great stylised outdoors scene.

I've been having great fun with these new designer paper clips - especially this speech bubble...

... but just look at all the other fabulous designs they come in!

Here's what you'll need to make this card
Stamps: Patterned Occasions (free Sale-a-bration set), Easy Events (for the word love)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist
Card stock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Timeless Type alphabet dies, Big Shot, Print Poetry and Sunshine & Sprinkles DSPs, Cute Clips, stamp-a-majig

My youngest son was sighing over the time of year at the weekend, saying there was nothing to look forward to in February. "That's not true!" I said. "What about the 14th February?!" He brightened immediately. "Oh yes!" he said with great enthusiasm. "Pancake day!" Hmmm. Just another example of how he thinks with his tummy!

See you tomorrow,

  10. A really cute card Vicky. The paper clips are Fab and unusual, and I love how you've used them to great affect.

Isn't it a shame that children have to grow up?
