Stampin' Up - coming up roses!

What a glorious day here in Buckingham - blue skies and sunshine and the promise of spring! No wonder my thoughts turned to romance when I saw the Kraft and Cream colour challenge at Less is More this week! I've made two cards this week - come and have a look:

The new spring/summer mini catalogue has just been launched and I'm in love with the feminine embellishments in it! One of my favourites is the flower trim I used on these cards.

They come on a strip of tulle but you can snip them apart as I've done on this card. You may recognise the leaves - they're from the Bloomin' Marvellous stamps set that you can get free with the Sale-a-bration promotion. I stamped them in Crumb Cake ink and added definition with a blender pen and a marker.

I love this sentiment which is great for all sorts of occasions! I've embossed it to give it a bit of importance and added a sprinkling of pearls for a celebratory feel.

I don't like my second card as much but I thought I'd include it anyway!

Here are the flowers again...

... used in a strip this time. They're just so pretty and I think they look gorgeous with the new burlap-look Natural Trim ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set - that's available free as part of the Sale-a-bration promotion too!

Here's what you'll need to make these cards
Stamps: Bloomin' Marvellous, Itty Bitty Banners (both free with Sale-a-bration), Friendly Phrases
Ink: Crumb Cake
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake
Other: Natural Trim ribbon, Flower Trim, Simply Scored, Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Basic Pearls, stamp-a-majig

Not everyone is enjoying the sunshine as much as I am today: "A bit intense" is how my husband described it. "Like campers," I said and sat back to enjoy his bewildered look. "In tents!" He took himself off at this point leaving his mad old wife to cackle away to herself in her crafting corner!

Hope you're enjoying sunshine today! See you soon,
