The scoring areas were marked on the back of the card stock, then scored with my stylus using a ruler to ensure the score lines ended at the same point. I love a bit of scoring and I can't recommend Stampin' Up's Simply Scored tool highly enough! Here's a closer look:
The anchor embellishment was made by stamping the 'Nantucket Oceanside Inn' stamp from By the Tide, then cutting elements out of it using circle punches. I pierced the top of the anchor and knotted some linen thread through it before assembling the pieces.
Here's the gorgeous sketch I was working from today:

Making this nautical card has set me thinking about a summer holiday, especially as the sun came out in Buckingham today with temperatures up from around zero to 13 degrees C! Might have to get the sandals out at this rate! Have you booked your summer holiday yet?
I'll be back tomorrow with another card and some more ideas for scoring. See you then,
I love the scoring on this card. And the card is wonderful.

I've been looking at holidays but can't make up my mind. Last year popping over to France on the ferry was a doddle and we are very tempted again,I get so fed up with airports:)
