Do you see how grass-ish the floral image is? I used markers to colour the rubber before stamping to get a multi-coloured image and afterwards, I turned the stamp upside down and used the bottom of the stems as grass to fill out the 'planting' a little. You could easily omit the flowers if you only wanted grass too (in fact, I think I'll do that for tomorrow!)
But I really like the flowers too. Here's a close-up of one of them where you can see the effect of colouring the flower head with Primrose Petals and 'thumping' with the darker Raspberry Ripple.
What a great set this is! The sentiments are wonderful for sympathy cards but the floral image is versatile enough for all sorts of other occasions.
Here's what you'll need to make this card
Stamps: Love and Sympathy
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Lucky Limeade markers, Basic Grey classic ink
Card stock: Naturals Ivory
Other: Stamp-a-majig

My oldest son is getting quite grumpy with all the extra work he's having to put in at school. When I wake him in the morning he gives me a cantankerous look over the top of the duvet. "Morning darling!" I say in Mary Poppins tones. "See you at breakfast for joy and laughter!" Then I flee down the stairs, cackling, before he can throw something at my head!
Thank you for visiting here today. I'll be back with another grassy creation tomorrow so do pop back then!
I have this stamp set because it's so lovely . . . so far I haven't inked it up (shame on me) . . . you've inspired me to use it now! Thank you! xxxx

ReplyDeleteLovely design Vicky. Also, love your colour choice.
ReplyDeleteI have two grumpy teenagers who have difficulty getting up in the morning. A wok lid and wooden spoon seem to encourage them out of their beds lol
