Through the Morning Meadow window

Excitement is running high in our household! We have a very important birthday happening this week and I'm busy preparing for the Stampin' Up annual convention next week too so today I thought I'd show you a card I made a little while ago using the wonderful Morning Meadow hostess stamp set. Come and see:

It was so simple to make a stylised window by stamping first and then using my 1" square punch. I sponged a little Soft Sky ink over them before arranging on my panel and adding a 'sill'.

I love this little bird and have already made a Christmas version of this card using him as a robin which I'll show you tomorrow if you have a minute.

The beautiful tag images in the Chalk Talk set are brilliant for popping onto cards as well as embellishing gifts. This one cuts out beautifully using the 1 3/8" circle punch for a quick sentiment.

Here's what you'll need to make this project
Stamps: Morning Meadow, Chalk Talk
Ink: Soft Sky, Island Indigo
Card stock: Whisper White
Other: Markers, 1" square and 1 3/8" circle punches, paper snips, stamp-a-majig

Do you remember me saying we'd visited Liverpool to look round the university? While we were there, an unfortunate incident occurred: While taking this photo of me with her late majesty Queen Victoria...

... a bird flew over and deposited a little present on his arm. We were all horrified but he brought out a bottle of water and sorted it all out with great resourcefulness. He ended up clean, if a little damp. My youngest son gave a sigh of relief. "It's a shame it didn't land on your head," he said. We all looked at him in surprise. "That's supposed to be lucky isn't it?" he explained - although where he's getting his information is anyone's guess!

See you tomorrow,

  8. Oh yes, bird poo on your head = luck. Such a simple but clever idea for this card Vicky. The fittie on the train is what I thought the Stereophonics were singing.
