Sending love around the world

Since we're well into January, I thought it would be good to get some Valentine's projects under my belt. In fact, today's card could be used for any time of year to let someone special know how you feel about them. Come and have a look:

You may remember me telling you that Stampin' Up have released some exclusive Valentine stamp sets and accessories (click here to see). They're only available until the 27th January, so don't you go missing out now!

When I saw the gorgeous Love you More stamp set, I immediately had an idea for the globe. I stamped it in versamark on the card panel and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder, then stamped it again onto scrap card stock and coloured it with markers. The 1" circle punch cut it out neatly and I attached it over the embossed one.

Do you like the piercing? Normally I'd pierce a frame round the edge of the panel but today I decided to position it on the card base itself for a change!

Here's a close up with the lovely sentiment. The image and sentiment come on the same stamp but I've separated mine so that I can use it easily with other images (in fact I have an idea for one that I'll show you tomorrow!)

Here's what you'll need to make this project
Stamps: Love you More
Ink: Early Espresso, plus Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz markers
Card stock: Very Vanilla
Other: Essentials piercing template, mat and tool, versamark, gold embossing powder, heat tool, 1" circle punch, stamp-a-majig

Globes are amazing things aren't they?! I think I could do with one as my geography is shockingly hazy  - and it seems it runs in the family: "You know that place that everyone goes to on holiday - Malaysia," said my youngest son yesterday at dinner. He must have seen our bewildered faces. "No wait," he added. "I think I mean Malaga!"

See you tomorrow,
