More ideas for using Stampin' Up blendabilities

We've had such a lot going on in our family lately that I completely forgot that there's an upcoming Stampin' Up event to get all excited about... I looked at the calendar the other day and you probably heard me squeal - YES! It's the Stampin' Up annual convention in practically ONE minute!!!

Naturally my thoughts immediately turned to what I might wear at the awards ceremony! And since I'm Mrs Sparkly these days and have taken up ballroom dancing (honestly, I really I have!) I thought I'd wear this necklace:

Isn't it gorgeous?! Shame it's completely the wrong colour! But wait... I have a cunning plan!

Let's just give it the once-over with my fabulous Cherry Cobbler blendabilities...

... and there we go! That's a pretty good match I'd say!

I'll be sailing off to Brussels (although not literally) next Thursday ready to meet up with Stampin' Up friends, have fun, learn loads, get freebies, go crazy with visual overload and generally have the best time EVER! If you fancy coming too, you're a bit late for this Convention but, if you join Stampin' Up now, you can definitely get in on next year's fabulous event AND take advantage of six month's worth of free designer papers! I do try to be Mrs Sparkly but this is the kind of conversation that goes on in our house these days: "How was your day?" I asked when my son came in from school yesterday. "Great thanks! We had rugby today," he said. "Really?" I said. "How was it?" He shrugged. "I got a nose bleed from being whacked in the face," he said. "But other than that, it was great!"

Have a great weekend won't you. I shall be arranged on the sofa on Saturday night with Strictly Come Dancing lined up on the TV, feather boa dangling nonchalantly off one shoulder... how about you?!

Hugs,

  1. Well, I'd never have thought of doing that! Wouldn't it be great to have a customisable jewellery kit - a plain crystal necklace and you could choose a set of markers to customise it with!

  3. How resourceful! Have vetoed Strictly this year, the celebs are disappointing and.... Judy Murray!! She's not a celeb! Talk about scraping the barrel.
Enjoy your trip to Bruxelles. x

  8. Ok, so now you've shown us the "new" bling, you'll have to give us a sneak peak at the outfit it co-ordinates with (hint, hint), and I'm sure you will have a FABULOUS time at convention!!!

  9. I've been missing a lot of my favorite blogs with comments but I'm trying to catch up. This is a brilliant idea to alter your necklace and you will be the belle of the ball! Please post pix of you in boa! we have a program called "Dancing with the Stars" that is probably like yours. It is a fun show to watch. Unfortunately I don't have a boa.

  10. Oh! Vicky that is fabulous, my mother used to do the same thing, except using nail varnish - in the 50's and 60's LOL.
