An indescribable Gift from the new Stampin' Up spring/summer catalogue 2015

This post almost didn't happen "because Puppy" as my daughter would say! I do love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I mean, imagine being in any other business and saying that you almost didn't manage to do something 'because Puppy'! (Perhaps you should try it and let me know how you get on! *wink*)

It would have been a shame not to have posted though because I rather like today's card and I hope you do too! Come and see:

I started by sponging a rainbow background, then stamped the blossom over the top. The image is from a gorgeous new Easter stamp set called Indescribable Gift from the new Stampin' Up spring/summer catalogue.

I used some of the new colours of Blendabilities to colour the image. Honestly, if you haven't tried these wonderful alcohol markers yet, do give it a try - it is seriously therapeutic! And the great news is that you can get packs of them free as part of the Stampin' Up Sale-a-bration promotion!

This set isn't just for Easter of course. I turned it into a pretty birthday card by adding this gorgeous sentiment from another favourite set, Butterfly Basics. I ADORE this font!

Puppies need quite a lot of input but Eva is coming on really well. A bonus of having her is that she's become my secret weapon for luring my daughter home on visits from uni! "I think I'll book some trains home in advance," she told me yesterday. "Otherwise I'm really going to miss Eva!" I have been ousted in my daughter's affections by a champagne coloured pup!

See you tomorrow for Artisan Design Team blog hop day when there'll be heaps more inspiration from the new Stampin' Up spring/summer catalogue. See you then!

  3. Yeah . . . but she'll grow out of the puppy thing, she'll never grow out of her Maman. You know I'm right!

  6. Marisela Delgado said: AWESOME card! So beautiful. Speaking of puppies, my neighbor's dog has puppies and they cry and "big doggie" bark whenever they see me. One even tries to climb the fence to cross over. SO CUTE. I love puppies! Have a great day, Vicky. Awesome card. Marisela in San Antonio, TX

  7. Lovely colouring Vicky. Have you been watching the puppy series on BBC for inspiration and strong doses of smugness?
