Hello crafting pals!
It's that time of year when the sniffles start and everyone starts stocking up on tissues. Time for a Get Well card I think! Let's face it, we know it's going to come in handy at some stage! Come and see:
This cheerful card features a striped tag from a Stampin' Up Tags and More Accessory Kit. I stamped a sentiment from a retired hostess set (Express Yourself) onto a banner left over from another kit and attached it to the tag with dimensionals.
A spray of flowers from Concorde and 9th's Enjoy it All were inked up with markers, stamped and fussy cut, and I slipped a couple of die-cut leaves and some gold thread behind it.
The tag was attached to a snippet of textured Daffodil Delight card stock with some staples I'd coloured black for another project. I added a few black enamel dots too.
This card came about because I had a peek at the As You See It challenge this week and saw that LeAnne has come up with a card recipe I couldn't resist playing along with!
I'm also linking up with Pixie's Snippets Playground as I used lots of left over bits and pieces to make this card :) Eva and I will be popping round with a get well bone for Dudley and the pups can go zoom-tastic round the playground!
AND IN OTHER NEWS
No sooner have I said goodbye to one of my sons than I get the other one back! My eldest son has come to stay as he is working nearer to home at the moment. It's so lovely to have him here and there's someone else that is delighted too...
Eva adores her family and clearly misses them all. When they come home for visits, she runs to them making little delighted sobbing noises (we call them hen noises) and doing little bunny hops because she wants to jump up but knows she isn't allowed to do that.

Lovely, Vicky! I like the black staples - they're such a fun element and I like their contrast with the florals. Thanks for your kind comments too. I've been on a break for the last month and have been on holiday in England, which I've enjoyed. I'm on my way home tomorrow. Thanks for joining us at As You See It this week. Your card is a treasure.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan! Hope you've had a lovely time here in England and have done all the things you wanted to do and seen all the things you wanted to see! Have a good journey home - it's quite a way!
DeleteSo sweet, Vicky. It's sure to help the recipient feel better xoxo
ReplyDeleteThat yellow would cheer anyone up wouldn't it?! x
DeleteWhat a wonderful snippets card Vicky! I love how you used loads of snippets, and they all go together so well. And super colouring and matching as well.
ReplyDeleteI was already going to say how adorable Eva looks, she's absolutely gorgeous. And re. the little sobbing noises, Dudley does that as well! Sometims it's heartrending as he also does that if one of us goes out and leaves him with the other hoooman! 'Velcro Dogs' is their nickname and very apt as well!
Hugs
Di xx
Thanks Di! It's always so satisfying to use up those snippets (I think I was a womble in another life!)
DeleteThese pups are such little characters aren't they? And so good at communicating with their owners. I can never understand people that say 'It's just a dog'.
Vicky, this is just the cheeriest card, with the yellows and the stripes and flowers! Great layout as well! You've managed to include all the elements of the challenge in a very concise way. And thanks for your sweet comments on my DT sample as well. So glad you could play along with us at As You See It Challenges.
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather :) AYSI is fast becoming one of my favourite challenge sites with always something fun to do!
DeleteWhat a fun cheerful card, I love that you were able to use up some snippets to create something so happy! And speaking of happy, Eva looks like she's smiling, LOL! And we're happy you played with us at As You See It too!
ReplyDeleteThanks LeAnne!
DeleteEva is a bit of a smiler :) My eldest son said that she was 'living her happiest life' the other day - and it's true!
