Hello crafting friends!
Anyone got that Friday feeling? Hmm, me neither. Or if I have, it feels quite like a Thursday feeling or a Wednesday one. But it's a beautiful day and I've reached for the floral stamps. Come and see:
This card was made for a lovely friend and neighbour who told me she'd recently celebrated her birthday under lockdown. It took much longer than it should have, mainly because I didn't have a picture in my head about the finished project and it seemed to take on a life of its own!
I stamped the jar which is from a long ago retired Stampin' Up set, then the flowers (from Clearly Besotted's Say It With Flowers) after masking off the ribbon that's normally part of the bouquet. Everything was coloured with alcohol markers.
The next step was to stamp an ornate strip with Versamark ink and heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. I masked off the jar and the background on the diagonal, and sponged grey ink over the foreground to highlight the filigree strip. The panel was cut out with a stitched rectangle die from Heffy Doodles and I added a scored detail to the background.
I stamped the flowers again, coloured some of them and fussy cut them. These were arranged on my bouquet, the largest popped up on dimensionals. The final touch was a double bow, die cut using MFT's Birthday Cocktail and a fun sentiment from Clearly Besotted's Simply Said.

So happy that this card won Designer's Choice at TicTacToe Challenge!
CHALLENGES
I was inspired by beautiful photo at The Card Concept to make my Clean and Layered card. I'm also linking up with the TicTacToe Challenge where I chose the Markers, Blooms and Ribbon/Twine row of Laurie's board. I saw that Addicted to Stamps and More have an Anything Goes challenge going on, so I'm playing along there too.
AND IN OTHER NEWS
Some of you have shared that you're not really feeling very motivated at the moment...
... and Eva wants you to know she knows just how you feel. This is definitely the canine equivalent of falling asleep with your cheek in one hand!
Hope you have a happy weekend. Stay safe won't you!

Beautifully coloured card Vicky, the flowers look real in the real jar. I suspect your neighbour was thrilled to bits to have the card.

This is beautifully colored and quite detailed, Vicky, with every detail being exquisite! You've nailed the photo inspiration and this is a winner in my book! And now, seeing Eva, I think I'll go have a lie down on the floor next to Nellie!! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
