Hello, crafting friends!
Some of the calmest people I've met during the pandemic have been pregnant women. They are just busy producing the next generation and their hormones are helping them focus on that. The human body is a remarkable thing! I've been busy making baby cards to replenish my stash. Here's one of them:
I started by stamping the bear from MFT's Safari Party and cutting a rectangle around him using a stitched rectangle die from Heffy Doodles. The bear was given a bow tie from the same stamp set and coloured as a teddy bear with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I used a pale blue to colour the background too.
The rectangle was mounted onto a darker blue rectangle that I positioned at a slight angle, then onto a card base. I stamped a banner from WPlus9's Be Merry and curved a sentiment into it from Some Bunny To Love by Inky Doodles. The banner was coloured pink and I added some doodled swirls to the sentiment before attaching it to the card.
CHALLENGES
The Inspired By Challenge has another fabulous piece of inspiration for us this week - I'm just squeaking in under the wire! Just look at those gorgeous pastels and those cute critters! I'm also going to link up with Just Add Ink's Just Add T Challenge - I've added a Teddy to my baby card :)

Hi! We had rain again too, but thankfully not all day! your baby card is sweet ~ his little bow tie makes him festive :)
ReplyDeleteSo very sweet to welcome a new little one. You just may be right there, as one of our DIL's sister was due in May, everyone was so worried about her going into hospital and she was the only calm one to be found.
