A whole bunch of love

Hello, crafting friends!

Welcome to another Tuesday and another fun challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches! YoonYoung will be hosting for the month of March and she has chosen some beautiful colours for us this week.

I didn't need any further excuse to get some flowers out! These are from Stampin' Up's Wrapped Bouquet, stamped directly onto a card base with grey ink and shaded with coloured pencils.

To add some interest to the card, I cut an aperture in a card panel with the coordinating die, trimmed it down with a stitched rectangle die by Heffy Doodle and  attached it to the card base with dimensional pads. You can see how you end up looking into the panel at the flowers :)

To finish, I added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted, coloured in the flower stamens using a terracotta pen and embellished with a few clear dots.

And now it's your turn! What do these colours make you think of?  As always there's so much wonderful inspiration to be found from the team HERE at the challenge blog, and you can also link your card up there when you're ready. Don't forget to keep your design clean and simple!

CHALLENGES
I'm joining in with the Anything Goes theme at The Sisterhood of Crafters and the Feminine theme at Allsorts. I'm also sharing the Wrapped Bouquet stamp set and matching dies at this month's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) challenge.

AND IN OTHER NEWS
Can you believe that we are still basking in a February heatwave here in the heart of England?! Our walks have been mud-free which has given me a bit of time to give my tiny garden a good tidy up and a hair cut (something I could definitely do with myself!!)

Unfortunately Eva (perhaps missing that mud) began to dig a hole in the grass while my back was turned and earned a good talking to. I could kick myself - she does this once at the beginning of the outdoors season, gets told off and never repeats her misdemeanour... until the next year when she 'forgets'!

Sending hugs,

  3. Such a beautiful creation, Vicky! Love the image and wonderful coloring! Your dog is so cute, so glad you can enjoy some nice weather! It's been getting better here in the US (midwest) after a few frigid February weeks, but can't wait for it to get a little bit warmer still!

Thank you so much for joining in at Allsorts challenge this week where it's all about "feminine creations".

  7. Beautiful colors for your pretty bouquet and debossed CAS design, Vicky. TFS the photo of Eva in the garden. She is looking like she just got in trouble, but hey...if you only have to tell her no once each season NOT to dig in the garden...I am impressed. Enjoy the sun...we have had sun too for several days. ALL my extra time daytime has been spent outside:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy

  9. A beautifully soft and delicate creation Nicky.

Eva looks suitably subdued from either the ticking off or maybe the trim up, the latter something our Poppy desperately needs, just waiting for her latest neck op to heal enough.

  17. I love the use of the negative space Vicky and your florals are lovely in these colours. This is one of those sets I totally overlooked yet my friend Jan has it and uses it all the time to great effect - between the two of you, I'm going to have stamp envy for sure!
