Hello, crafting friends!
Welcome to some fabulous Saturday crafting fun courtesy of the latest challenge from Addicted to CAS! It's Ceal's turn to choose a code word this week and she has come up with a colour:
I used to find purple a slightly repellant colour - isn't that weird?! Luckily I've recovered from that and even wear purple sometimes now :)
I started this card by masking off the bottom of a panel and sponging purple ink upwards to a fade. I trimmed the panel to size with a beautifully ornate die from Nordic Frames by The Greetery.
The sentiment, from Sugar Pea's Beautiful Books, was stamped in a darker purple below the inking. I used the same ink to stamp one of the books from the set and fussy cut it before glueing it onto the inked part of the panel. The panel was attached to a card base with double sided tape to ensure that the little bits of the frame stayed attached and I finished the card with some purple sequins.
Okay, it's over to you now! Do hop over to the Addicted to CAS challenge site won't you - the team has some wonderful inspiration for you. You'll find the Linkuy Tool at the bottom of the post and you can use it to share your own creation with us. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
CHALLENGES
This card will accompany a book I'm lending to a friend :) I'm going to link it up with Watercooler Wednesday where Dawn is hosting the All Things Feminine challenge. I'm also joining in at Happy Little Stampers Die challenge where Anything Goes; and Darnell's NBUS challenge where we showcase our Never Before Used Schtuff - mine is the die that features on this card.
AND IN OTHER NEWS
You know purple? Well, do you really? I thought I did but, looking at my card today, I think I've gone more violet than purple (although I blame it on the photo!) Apparently purple and violet are often incorrectly identified colours, with people often thinking they're interchangeable. But to clear things up:
