Hot colours scalloped card

The temperatures are barely above freezing here in Buckingham as we head towards the Easter weekend. It's really not what we want. When I made today's card I was imagining how it would feel to be lying on a Hawaiian beach, with hot sand under my toes, listening to Jack Johnson strumming his guitar under the palm trees and sipping something icy...

The hot reds, oranges and yellows definitely chased the winter blues away and I feel summer will be here before we know it. I hope you spotted the Real Red brads - yes, my brads have arrived! It is great to be able to reach for the right colour when I need it.

Supplies: (all Stampin' Up unless specified)
Stamps: Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, Best Wishes and More
Ink: Old Olive, More Mustard, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie
Card stock: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Other: Scalloped border punch, scallop circle punch, Boho Blossoms punch, prima flower from the Pretties set, Real Red grosgrain ribbon, Real Red brads, Designer Series paper in Pumpkin Pie.

The schools closed for the holidays this afternoon and there's a real holiday feeling in the house.
Never mind about Hawaii - Buckingham's a good place to be when I have my family around me.
Hope you can join me over the weekend but, if not, have a happy Easter!

  1. Hi Vicky,

If I had the choise I would prefer Buckingham - believe me. My family is calling me MAD because of my opinion ;-)).

    Have a nice holiday.
