Everything Eleanor birthday set

Last week, I went out to celebrate the birthday of one of my lovely girlfriends. This friend is a woman after my own heart - she appreciates the packaging of a present as much as the present itself and spends ages looking at it, stroking it and guessing what's in it before she tackles the actual opening of it! Here's what I made for her:

It's a card and a gift voucher set made using the most wonderful new set in the catalogue Everything Eleanor. The set includes a wonderful flourish, which I've stamped on the background paper, this fantastic tag shape (SO versatile!) and three beautiful shaded flowers. Let's have a closer look at those flowers:

They're easy to cut out and can be layered as I've done with the blue one. The tiny four-petalled flower is even easier - it's a stamp from the Itty Bitty Bits set cut out with the coordinating punch - easy peasy! My friend is blonde-haired and blue-eyed and looks fantastic in these sorts of soft colours.

The voucher is for a store where we used to bump into each other sometimes when our children were younger. We don't have the time for things like that now but I thought it might make her smile and be fun to spend at the same time! I chose the voucher in a plain white card so that I'd be able to simply embellish it.

A voucher doesn't always look very important, so I presented it in a box with a raised insert. The ribbon is Baja Breeze seam binding - so silky soft and just perfect for tying effortless double bows like this one! I added another little flower tag to tie to the bow so that it all coordinates nicely.

And here we are - the finished set! My lovely friend took plenty of time to open it which I very much appreciated!

Supplies needed for this set:
Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Itty Bitty Bits, Petite Pairs, Afterthoughts (hostess, retired)
Ink: Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Card stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Other: Markers, Neutrals Patterns designer paper stack, Baja Breeze seam binding, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, 3/4" circle punch, paper snips, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

During the week, I tend to write my blog the day before it's published which often confuses me... (frankly, it doesn't take much!) so if you were wondering why I didn't wish my US readers a very happy thanksgiving yesterday, that'll be the reason! I might be a little late but I do hope you're all having a wonderful time!

And to everyone else too - have a lovely weekend and I'll hope to see you very soon.

Hugs,
