Whisper White, Real Red and Pacific Point are a great combination and I thought a pinwheel was suitably celebratory. The pinwheel handle is made by trimming a section out of the white card stock and I like the neat finish it gives. I made this flower in the same style last week using the cut out section to make a stem. I used my diagonal Simply Scored plate to mark my pinwheel before cutting which makes a very quick, accurate pinwheel.
These Patterns papers are double sided in the same colours, different designs which is really handy for lots of projects, but I wanted a patriotic theme here so I glued the red stripe onto the blue dot before turning it into the pinwheel. I held the centre in with this gorgeous dotty brad in Island Indigo - which didn't match but which makes a rather pleasing clash I think!
I love this bold sentiment from one of my favourite sentiment sets Thank You Kindly. Wouldn't this be a great card to send to the hosts of a brilliant jubilee party?!
Here's what you'll need to make today's cards:
Stamps: Thank You Kindly
Ink: Real Red
Card stock: Pacific Point, Whisper White textured
Other: Patterns designer paper stack in Brights, designer printed brad, Simply Scored and diagonal plate, stamp-a-majig

Her Majesty isn't the only one celebrating this weekend! On Thursday it was my 50th birthday - who'd have believed it?! I was spoilt to death on the day and this weekend (well, in a minute actually!) I'm being whisked away to a Mystery Location to celebrate some more. I shall tell you all about it when I get back. Here's a very blurry picture of my husband and I (did you see what I did there?!) at the end of a fantastic evening in the Jaipur restaurant on Thursday.
