Tea Shoppe anniversary with a flourish

The Tea Shoppe set in the new mini has some really striking images and it's a great set for thank you cards and notecards, but I hadn't really thought of it as being useful for anniversaries until I saw this week's Less is More challenge... It's One Layer week at the site and Chrissie and Mandi want to see cards featuring a flourish. Come and see my Tea Shoppe anniversary card:

What do you think? The flourish image has a 'tea for two' sentiment at the top and a tiny cup and I've been looking at it and thinking it's almost heart-shaped.

That gave me the idea of sponging a heart through a post-it note mask onto a card base and topping it with the flourish - I inked it up with a Chocolate Chip marker, leaving off the bits I didn't want, and stamped it using my stamp-a-majig  for accurate positioning.

Instead of the tea for two sentiment, I added this one from Teeny Tiny Wishes using Cherry Cobbler ink. The result reminded me of an ornament so I added a line of piercing to make it look as if it's suspended from the top of the card.

A couple of rhinestones and a punched heart finished my ornament and I rounded the bottom corners too. This little heart is from my owl punch and is tiny and gorgeous. It mats beautifully onto the smallest heart on the Heart to Heart punch too!

Here's what you'll need to make today's card:
Stamps: Tea Shoppe, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride
Card stock: Naturals Ivory, scrap of Cherry Cobbler
Other: Full Heart and Owl punches, mat pack, paper piercer, Basic rhinestones, corner rounder, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these items for you and can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I'm committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to offer help and advice. To place your order, just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

Flourishes are fabulous aren't they?! I can't wait to see the gallery this week and I'm sure this won't be my only entry this week! But before I think about that, the rain has stopped here so I'd better get outside - I managed to cut back the back garden last week but the front garden is now sporting a six foot hedge and if we carry on like this someone might prick their finger on a spindle and we'll all fall asleep for a hundred years! (Hmm, on second thoughts maybe I should leave it... I've been wanting a lie-in!)

See you soon,
