This is a pure injection of vibrant colour - guaranteed to put a bit of pep into anyone's step! I cut some strips from a few of the papers and arranged them onto a zingy Strawberry Slush card base.
You can see that I tied a tag to one of the strips with bakers twine before attaching it. The tag is quite a favourite of mine - it was stamped with one of the solid images from the That's the Ticket stamp set and cut out with the coordinating punch; I added the sentiment from Express Yourself using my stamp-a-majig to make sure I got it in the right place.
Here's a great idea for left over designer paper - wrap chocolate bars in them for a beautifully coordinated gift. I used Sticky Strip to make sure they didn't come apart, tied them in a stack with a length of Pool Party seam binding and added another of those gorgeous little tags.
The That's the Ticket stamp set is one of the 25 stamp sets that have been discounted by 25% as part of Stampin' Up's 25th anniversary celebrations, so if you love it as much as I do, now is the time to add it to your collection! We all like to keep fit in our house - my husband likes to run, cycle and play tennis; my eldest son is into basketball and tennis; my youngest son likes badminton and cycling and my daughter and I love to dance. You'll be glad to know that Tuppence the cat hasn't been left behind in the fitness craze...
... and feline yoga classes could be starting up in your area too!

Yes . . . we definitely need to some zing this morning. I feel groggy after not much sleep due to the storm. LOVELY and bright card and choccy bars. Aww, Tuppence is soooo cute, and I say that as one who is not a cat lover . . . so she must be extra special! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's a cheerful and happy card. We have been hearing about the severe storms in your area. Glad you are safe. Can't wait for dog yoga to start here, our dog needs it for exercise. She has no trouble being calm and sleeping!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheerful card to brighten up a dull day! Love the zingy colours of the Quatrefancy DSP, and the ticket element is great. x x
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot, Vicky! I can honestly say that's the first time I've seen a cat doing the downward dog!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is indeed vibrant and happy! I love it! And the idea of wrapping chocolate in dsp is genius!! I hope your tiles stay stuck through the storm!! Hugs, Darnell
That's just the sort of zing we needed this morning.... good job it wasn't a school morning!!! Fabulous mix of colours, even better that chocolate is wrapped in them :0) Love tuppence's yoga position!!! cats are so funny.
ReplyDeleteLovely idea to wrap the chocolates that way, although my initial thought was that they were 3 fat quarters of fabric bundled together. I don't think SU does fabric any more though.
ReplyDeleteTuppence is holding that yoga pose very well, isn't she?
