Painting with Happy Watercolour by Stampin' Up

You don't have to be an artist when you have Stampin' Up's Happy Watercolour set! As well as beautiful flowers to colour and some useful sentiments, this set contains some exciting splodge images that can help you create some interesting paint effects with ease! Come and see:

This abstract 'canvas' was created by stamping randomly with the smallest splodge in the set. I used four different colours of ink on the subtly textured core'dinations card stock for added interest. I think it's a useful design for those tricky male cards!

I topped the painted section with a frame cut with my Squares framelits and tucked a snipped-out sentiment  in the corner.

• Happy Watercolour is only available until the end of June so don't miss out on it! Click here for more inspiration using this set.

I'll be linking this card up with the ColourQ which never fails to inspire me with its gorgeous weekly colour palettes. And I notice Make My Monday has a Male Themed challenge, so I'll join in there too.

One of the highlights of our first trip to Kent a few years ago was a expedition to Margate where my daughter and I called in at the Turner Contemporary Gallery. During our visit we had coffee in the cafe and while trying to get back to the main gallery my daughter burst into one of the private seminar rooms just as I was reading the 'Private, meeting in progress' sign on the door. She withdrew, closed the door carefully and whispered: "Run away, run away!"

See you tomorrow for more arty frolics!

  1. Fab stamping for this graphic design Vicky, it reminds of a Sixties type pattern, and the colours too!

  7. Clever design Vicky - the splodges look like corks to me (although that probably comes from too many years of wine tasting classes!) Nx
