LETS GET STAMPIN'
I've come up with a new technique with my Stampin' Up blendabilities! At least I think it's a new technique - I've certainly never seen it before but don't all shout at me if you have! Come and see:
The butterfly was punched out and coloured in with blendabilities, just as I did with the four-leafed clover here in yesterday's post, but then I stamped a little flower image over it with Stampin' Up classic ink. I didn't know if it would 'take' but it seemed fine and didn't smudge or anything. I really like the effect - what do you think?
I made a background for my butterfly by masking off a rectangle, sponging with Strawberry Slush classic ink and stamping over it with the same flower. You can see that it doesn't have that intense, smooth, airbrushed look that I got with the blendabilities on the butterfly. I finished the card by drawing antennae and a frame using a black marker and a ruler, and adding the sentiment and a candy dot.
I was inspired to make this card by Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge where the challenge is 'One Layer Only + your butterfly'; and The Colour Throwdown where this week's colour palette made my mouth water!
