A glimpse of winter with Ornamental Pine by Stampin' Up

Isn't it funny - the moment I start making Christmas cards, the sun comes out! We may be getting some more summer after all but at least I've made a start on my festive cards. But before I show you, let me remind you that it's the very last day to take advantage of joining Stampin' Up with loads of extras in your starter kit (check details here) and also - have you cast your eyes over the new autumn/winter Stampin' Up catalogue yet?!

I was amazed by it - each new page seemed more exciting than the last! The Craft Square Metre is going to be groaning with crafty goodness! My favourites? Frankly it's too difficult to pin anything down - I love it all!

LET'S GET STAMPIN'
I used a fabulous, traditional-style set from the new catalogue called Ornamental Pine.

Its dynamic pine branch image is gorgeous and will make great backgrounds as well as traditional Christmas foliage.

I used a shadow technique for the pine cones: each cone was first stamped in Soft Suede ink and then another slightly off-set over the top in versamark which was heat embossed in gold. A stamp-a-majig is useful for this technique.

The stamp set comes with this lovely, bold Christmas sentiment, which I stamped in Real Red. This clear, bright red is the perfect partner for the gorgeous new in-colour green Mossy Meadow!

So tell me, what are your favourite products from the new catalogue? What are you not going to be able to do without? Enjoy making your wish lists won't you and have a great weekend - I think mine might have to be spent making space in the Craft Square Metre for rather a lot of new stash!
