Age Awareness - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello and a great big welcome to this week's Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team blog hop! We have a whole bunch of inspiration for you, so sit back, make yourselves comfy and let's get going!

I received a HUGE box of new goodies earlier this week (see pic here) so I was spoilt for choice for goodies to craft with but in the end I opted for some fabulous designer paper and a new photopolymer set called Age Awareness. Come and see what I've made with it:

Isn't this fun?! The cake sentiments in the stamp set made me chuckle and I immediately thought they'd be perfect on a cake treat box.

I used my cake slice box template (free to download here) to cut a box shape out of a beautifully understated design from the Confetti Celebration paper pack. Once the box was put together, I knotted some lush Blackberry Bliss ribbon round it before adding the cake sentiments and some candy dots for an extra flash of colour.

I love a coordinating set so I made a card to match my cake box. You'll notice the same fabulous designer paper behind that trendy off-set panel in Blackberry Bliss. Have you incorporated this delicious new colour into your craft room yet? You won't regret it I promise you!

Here's a close up of the label on the card. I love that useful little swirl from the Age Awareness stamp set and have you spotted that the 'happy birthday' comes in the same font as the 'happy cake day'? That meant I could make the card and the cake box coordinate perfectly *does a little happy dance!*

I hope you've enjoyed my cake-ish birthday project! There'll be a new Artisan Design Team blog hop every Thursday so I hope you'll come and join us each week. And now, the rest of the team are dying to inspire you with their creations too so click the button below to get started with the amazing Allison Okamitsu:

I would have shown you a picture of the cake that went inside the cake slice box but I didn't make any! Why? Because we ate so much cake on holiday that I thought we'd better give it a rest! There was a cafe near our holiday house that advertised its cake as 'chocolatey to the point of madness'. I mean, what would you have done?!

I'll have another birthday set to show you tomorrow. Hope to see you then,
