You've got This - Stampin' Up artisan blog hop

Hello, and welcome to another zoom round the globe to see what Stampin' Up's fab bunch of artisan designers have been up to! The company has sent us all boxes bursting with exciting new goodies from the upcoming new annual catalogue so you'll be getting some sneaky peeks to get your stampin' taste buds watering!

A PASSION FOR PEONIES!
I'm certain the stamp set I'm using today is going to be super popular when it becomes available on 2nd June! It's called You've Got This and features a brilliant cross hatch background, a stunning peony flower to colour, plus three sentiments in bang up-to-date cursive fonts! Come and see:

The first card I'm showing you features a cut-away front and a fold-in section. For those of you that like measurementt's made with a 28.5cm x 12cm (11 1/4" x 4 3/4") piece of Whisper White card stock scored at 9.5cm and 18cm (3 3/4" and 7 1/2") When I'd folded it I glued a 9.5cm x 12cm (3 3/4" x 4 3/4") piece of Soft Sky card stock onto the back of the card which folds in to form the background for the cut-away flower section.

After stamping the peonies on the front in Rose Red ink, I snipped away the white space with my sharp paper snips. The flowers were watercoloured with Rose Red and Melon Mambo inks while the stem and leaves were coloured with markers in Garden Green and the new in-colour Cucumber Crush. The background was filled in with a Soft Sky marker.

I stamped this heart-warming sentiment when the card was folded so that I could position it neatly. I love how it fits perfectly in the cut-away space! The folding section means there's loads of space to write a message - wouldn't this card be perfect for writing about good news to someone special?!

A POSY FOR YOU
I fell in love with this summery colour scheme and used it again on another card!

This time I used a Soft Sky card base in a standard tent fold. I stamped the cross hatch image onto the card front using Whisper White craft ink for a subtle look. TIP: you could use white heat embossing if you wanted it to show up more.

The peonies were stamped and watercoloured, and the stems and leaves stamped and coloured with markers, and then everything was cut out with my sharp paper snips and attached to the card.

I added a label tied on with white bakers twine. The sentiment on that label usually says 'I'm here for you' but I cut out the 'for you' part with a 1" circle punch after stamping it.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and that You've Got This will go on your wish list for 2nd June when the new Stampin' Up annual catalogue launches! Fancy some more sneaky peeks? Just click the button below to visit the next artisan on the blog hop, Allison Okamitsu.

I adore peonies and have a patch in my garden that did nothing for years and then suddenly came to life two years ago. Each year there are more flowers and this year I've counted six buds which will be opening out into gorgeous cerise coloured blooms in the next week or so...

... unless my new 'gardener' gets hold of them first that is!

See you tomorrow when I'll have LOADS of exciting news you won't want to miss!
