Thanks for the Greetings thinlits!

One of the first things on my wish list when I got hold of my new Stampin' Up catalogue was the new Greetings Thinlits. The greetings are perfect for note cards and thank you cards and what a gorgeous fresh font! Here's a simple card I made using the 'thanks':

I cut a piece of dotty designer paper from the new Brights colour collection and used it to ground my greeting, adding some cute contrasting flowers for a fun look.

Sometimes intricate die cuts are difficult to get out of the framelit but not these greetings - they slip out as happily as can be!

Punches are brilliant for adding quick accents to cards. The flowers here were made with one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Accents pack, with candy dot centres, and the leaves were cut using the exciting new Tree builder punch.

The great thing about these dies is that you get to use the negative as well - two for the price of one! I went bold and graphic when I made my 'negative' card and you'll be able to see that tomorrow :)

While I was typing up this post, my daughter was in the same room, tapping away on her laptop. I heard her computer make the 'low battery charge' warning noise and was entertained by my daughter giving a dramatic intake of breath "Oh no! Only 8 minutes remaining..." she said in a voice of doom. "Quick, everybody be frightened!"

See you tomorrow,
