Hello crafting friends!
When I saw the stamp set I'm using today, I immediately thought of a certain angelic redhead in my family and it made me smile. Come and see:
The set is Sweet Angel by Clearly Besotted and it has a selection of angels and fun sentiments to go with them. I inked one of them with Versamark ink and heat embossed her with gold embossing powder. After that, I had loads of fun colouring her with alcohol markers, my Wink of Stella pen and some gold stickles, before fussy cutting her.
It was hard to photograph (just another grey, rainy day in the heart of England!) but I hope you can see all the glitter and shine!
To ground my naughty little angel, I cut a piece of gold striped vellum and topped that with my sentiment stamped on a piece of ribbon-tailed card stock. The card was finished with sparkling stars - yes, that Stampin' Up Twinkle punch is really earning its keep!
CHALLENGES
I loved Joanne's sketch at The Paper Players this week so I used that for this card and will be linking up there; I'm also playing along with The Rainbow Card Challenge where this month's fun Metallic theme has been on my mind; I'd also like to join in with Scrappy Mo's Rudolph Day challenge - I've been so bad at remembering but it's the final challenge of the year and I'm hoping it's a case of better late than never!
AND IN OTHER NEWS
Eva and I are delighted to announce that the Dogmobile has done it again! She passed her MOT with flying colours, bless her. I will need to replace her tyres soon but I can do that after Christmas so I think Eva and I will celebrate with a long muddy walk this afternoon! (Well, Eva will get muddy - I'll try not to!)

I love your red-headed angel...she is very nice I am sure, and not maybe only a wee bit naughty? About cars....I had my last car for 17 years--a stick shift Honda Civic--and I LOVED that car. When my dad passed away, I bought his Ford Escape and sold my Honda to my nephew. He lives next door so I made him promise to let me drive it now and again! It was much better on gas than the Ford, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks LeAnne. My real redheaded angel used to be VERY naughty but also VERY nice as well :)
DeleteHow lovely to have your nephew next door! It must feel weird to see him driving your car but it also must be lovely to drive your dad's car :)
So cute xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, love the richness of the gold and the perfect image.
ReplyDeleteAs for the car, we had a VW Passat estate and had it for 12 years, I loved our princess, then she was broken into and from there wasn't the same, we had to replace her. No car has been the same since! :(
Faith x
Oh no! I'm so sorry that she was broken into. You must have been devastated :(
DeleteBack again. Grin. She really is so pretty! Thanks for joining us at Rainbow Card Challenge, and I hope we see you again soon.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Em DT
Since it's a favourite challenge of mine, I have no doubt you will!!! xx
DeleteGoodness, this is adorable! Copper hair and gold clothing- so perfect for our challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge this month. Thanks so much for joining us!
ReplyDeleteAw thanks Lee Ann - I have the perfect model ;)
DeleteI am behind with my commenting Vicky - I have been laid low with the lurgy (can it be transmitted through blogland?!) this week. This little angel is adorable - as is yours too, I'm sure (I can hear her now protesting 'What - naughty? Me??!') True festive CAS perfection - love the speckles of gold too. Thanks for playing along with my sketch challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteOh NO Joanne! Poor you - there are some really horrible lurgies flying about and lots of folk I know have been really laid low. Hope you feel better soon x
DeleteYour sketch was brilliant fun to play with :)
Beautiful! Thanks so much for participating in the Rainbow Card Challenge this time and good luck :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cohenna and thanks for all the brilliant inspiration this year :)
DeleteVicky, your little angel is adorable and I just love the detail the embossing and Wink of Stella adds. I have to agree with yo that the Twinkle punch is a favorite for little starry details, too. The perfect size! Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteYour sweet angel has made up into a wonderful card, Vicki.
ReplyDeleteI have always meant to tell you that my grand daughter is named Clare shich is an unusual spelling over here. It is more common to add an "i" to the spelling. Whenever I see the name of your blog, I have meant to share that tidbit with you!
Thanks for taking part in the November Rudolph Days Challenge.
