My daughter tells me it has been scientifically proved that people's moods improve in the sun and I can very well believe it - we are utterly basking in tropical sunshine and I'm skipping about like a mad loon!
The French doors to my garden are flung open and I can hear the sound of birds also sounding pretty excited! Here's a rather more restrained looking bird from my notelet samples.
Love this Touch of Nature set - it was one of my first acquisitions and I've never stopped using it. This bird and the leaves were stamped in Chocolate Chip ink then coloured using Earth Elements markers and my beloved blender pen. The card was finished with a bit of sponging round the edges and a sentiment from Happy Moments.
This fern image is from the same set and has just been stamped twice - once in Always Artichoke and once in Old Olive - and finished with the thank you from Happy Moments.
This beautiful flower is also from the Touch of Nature set. I think it really packs a punch when used on its own with these fabulous sentiments from the Sincere Salutations set. I coloured the flower stamp with markers, stamped it and then added more colour to the image with my blender pen. Here's a close-up.
There are seven stamps in this set for £24.95 and the possibilities are almost endless. Mine is very well-loved and if you're looking for a new set, I can highly recommend it.
Wherever you are today, have a glorious day!
See you soon.
Hi Vicky! Your warm weather sounds lovely - we are just starting our grey, wintery months in Melbourne...Grrrr!! Your little bird card is so gorgeous- you are so good at making "scenes" (with your stamps of course Lol!)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bird card Vicky (and the others too). You are right about the sunshine, its like going from black and white to colour!
ReplyDeleteVicky, I love all of these! I'm especially intrigued by the really simple-looking flower ones. They're just so... perfect!
ReplyDeletevery beautiful cards :)
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky - all these cards are absolutely gorgeous - so simple, yet so effective. They look really professional and are a welcome change from all those layers, dimensionals, etc. etc ... and the Touch of Nature stamp set is gorgeous - do they still do it?
ReplyDeleteYes they do! I've added a bit to the post to make it clearer. Thanks for your comments ladies - I really appreciate them.
ReplyDeleteHi Vicky - do you find that using a stampamagj helps with the wood mount stamps? Thank you.
