Yesterday I showed you how designer papers can bring a plain notebook to life. And here's another way to set your papers to good use - tiny gift bags which you could use for rich treats (champagne truffles perhaps... oh dear I'm hungry!), jewellery wrapped in tissue paper, a tie perhaps - well you get the idea.
These are 2, 4, 6, 8 bags (click here for a tutorial by my lovely upline Michelle) except mine are 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2, 6 bags... hmm doesn't really have the same ring to it does it?! I love the way it makes these tall skinny bags though. (I started with 6" x 6 1/4" paper and made my base 1 1/2".)
All of the bags were made with papers from the Sweet Pea stack (see p.13 of the mini catalogue) except the green one which is a Cottage Wall paper. And no, I'm not going to harp on yet again about what brilliant value these papers are at only 40p per beautiful quality double-sided sheet... oops! Just did!
I fastened all my bags with 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in a variety of colours (this is the ribbon I use most of) except the brown bag which is fastened with Pretty In Pink taffeta ribbon. The brown bag is my favourite - which is yours?
Now, what shall we do tomorrow?
I think I can feel a vintage moment coming on...
Do come back tomorrow and see!
Sweeet bags.... pardon the pun I like the skinny size of these too.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I`m thinking HUGE bottles of posh perfume.

Gorgeous bags.
ReplyDeleteWow Vicky these are stunning I might have to have a go myself x
ReplyDeleteI have stacks of patterned paper -- I really should make up some of these bags. So cute! Loved the little covered notebooks in the previous post, too!
