Three Minute Thursday - using Autumn Splendor

It's Thursday - and time for another in my series of super-quick cards.

You may have been thinking that I must have gone off Autumn Splendor but I'm not so fickle! I adore it this leafy set - and it's perfect for a quick one layer card.

The beauty of these gorgeous leaf images is that they overlap beautifully which adds 'dimension' to a flat card.

I cheated a teensy bit by using a 3" square Kraft card blank I'd made for another project. But the card took me two minutes so that balances the time out! Here's how to make this card:
  • Cut a piece of Kraft card stock 3"x 6", score at 3" and fold to make a 3" square card blank
  • Use a stamp-a-majig to stamp leaves in Garden Green ink across the left and bottom of the card. (The stamp-a-majig really speeds things up when you've got used to it - trust me!)
  • Position your sentiment with the stamp-a-majig
That's it - could you get any simpler than that? But it's very effective and makes great little note cards. When my eldest son sent thank you cards to his relatives I wanted to enclose little notes, so I made several of these.

They'd make a lovely gift packaged in a matching box too.

Well that's it for today! I hope I've given you a few ideas. If you have any questions or suggestions, do pop me an email - remember I'm not just here to take your orders and organise crafting parties for you!
See you very soon.

  6. Whew -- now I'm caught up on all 10 posts... and there's so much to comment on! I know I'll forget some things, but... your son's birthday card -- fabulous dimension on the cricket ball (is that what it's called?)... your description of your younger son's enthusiasm with the lavender and with making the sachet (just love that kid!)... your little trendy trees cards for each season (doodled flowers for spring -- brilliant!)... older son's thank you notes (perfect for the young man he's becoming)... FTL cards (I'm so behind -- again)... the description of your moved inside barbecue meal (I do love a good rainfall). So much goodness... so glad to be caught up! Thanks for reading/commenting on my blog so faithfully -- someday I'm going to fly over there and give you a good tight American hug!
