Nature Walk is never very far from my desk and this is the bird from that set. I stamped him in Early Espresso ink and clear-embossed him and he's looking unusually important today - you'll notice he's wearing the crown from Tiny Tags! And if we zoom in...
... you'll see the crown is pretty darned golden too thanks to my gold embossing powder! The Baja Breeze backdrop to his royal birdiness has been decorated with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, which I cut into this lovely shape with the Top Note die. I mounted that onto some of the Newsprint designer paper which I'd torn and sponged round the edges with Crumb Cake ink. Oh and look at those gorgeous leaf sprays! - they're made with the Little Leaves Sisslits die. This die and the embossing folder are exclusive to Stampin' Up, along with loads of others - have a look at pages 7-10 in the mini catalogue (on my side bar) to check them out.
There's a circular tab on one side with two eyelets set into it - one to take my BajaBreeze seam binding bow and the other for a little tag cut out with the jewellery punch. I gold-embossed the word 'love' on the tag because I thought this card had a touch of the fairy tale about it that would make it good for an engagement or anniversary.
I'm excited to say I can enter this card into Jules Crafty Snippet challenge too as it's been made out of off-cuts of card stock and paper and other items in my bits and pieces box. Oh, except the bird - I did have a bird in the box but I wanted him to wear the crown so I re-did him. Hope it still counts...

My oldest son is getting to be an expert cook. The other day I asked him for advice on making a thai curry as he'd made a really tasty one in Food Tech at school. "First you get a pan," he told me. "What sort of a pan?" I asked. "I dunno," he said. "What? You can't remember what kind of pan you used?!" I cried. "I think it was a saucepan," he said. "I can't remember what these things are called..." Hmmm. And this is the boy who can remember every tiny specification for every single electronic gadget known to man!
Thank you for your company today. I'll be back with Three Minute Thursday tomorrow and I'll hope to see you then.

Loving the two eyelets for the ribbon and sentiment .. .. .. such gorgeous supplies!!
The newspaper print paper is especially eye catching alongside that fabby bird!!
I am completely new to Stampin' Up. I was sent a stamp my blog buddy had duplicated the other week in her collection and have been "You Tubing" to see what I can do with it .. .. but now wishing I hadn't!!! I have seen so many gorgeous things.
Let's hope my hubby's syndicate won the Euromillions when he gets to work. If so I will be emailing you for probably one of everything ... except the stamp I already have LOL!!!
Thank you for the inspiration and for keeping me company in my mission to clear the craftspace of snippets.
Love Jules xx
p.s. As for your recurring nightmare .. .. at least you wear your nightdress under your clothes .. .. in mine I am only wearing a nightdress .. .. and I am usually somewhere important at the time!!
