I mentioned last week that my friend is ill with shingles. I couldn't believe she was trying to struggle on but thankfully she's now accepted that she really does need to stop and rest and try to get better. Along with her thank you card I put together a little gift to cheer her up:
My friend has the most stunning delicate, celtic colouring and these roses reminded me of her. Hopefully as they blossom she will begin to feel much better. Inside the bag is a tub of slow release vitamin C to boost her immune system. Later, after speaking to her, I added a couple of books as it appears that reading is the only thing she feels comfortable doing at the moment. I forgot to take a picture, but they looked lovely tied up parcel-fashion with 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.
Here's a close-up of the tag - A piece of corner-rounded Whisper White card stock, sponged with Daffodil Delight ink and stamped with a French Foliage leaf and a sentiment from Hopeful Thoughts. I tied the tag on with Pear Pizzaz seam binding and added a piece of 1/8" Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon tied in a pretty bow.
Supplies needed for this project:
Stamps: French Foliage, Hopeful Thoughts (sentiment)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso
Card stock: Whisper White
Other: Plain white lunch sack (I bought mine from my local market), seam binding, 1/8" tafetta ribbon, 1/8" handheld punch, corner rounder
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.
It seems that get well wishes are the order of the day - would you believe that I'm STILL not able to speak properly?! I'm fed up with being a Star Wars villain now and am yearning to be a goodie... Jedi mind tricks don't seem to work on my children however and I'm not really feeling the force!
Can you believe that it's Friday tomorrow? I think I'm going to have to get the Hello Again set out again! Do pop back and see what I come up with!
