Anniversary card using numbers

I was sure it was going to be a lovely sunny day in Buckingham today but no - it's Christmas card-making weather again! I haven't made a Christmas card though because when I looked at the Less is More site this morning, this week's sketch challenge gave me an idea for an anniversary card for my husband (so if you're reading this Simon - look away now!) Come and see what I've made:

I kept it very simple as my husband doesn't like frilly cards! The sentiment is computer-generated in Courier, one of my all-time favourite fonts - and have you seen the numbers?!

Aren't they gorgeous?! They're from the Playdate designer paper range, which has a couple of designs with these ornate numbers on them. I cut them out with my sharp paper snips and ran round the outside of them with an Early Espresso marker. I think they're perfect to illustrate the year of our wedding! (By the way, I have a pack of 6 x 6" Playdate papers in my special offers section for only £3.50 if anyone's interested in a bargain.)

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: None!
Ink: None!
Card stock: Crumb Cake
Other: Early Espresso marker, Playdate designer paper
You can buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593. Click here to view the Last Chance List - full of stamps and accessories, some at up to 40% off! These items are available only while stocks last - and some have sold out already!

My husband and I (am I sounding like the Queen?!) will have been married for 17 years in October - it seems like yesterday! Although looking at this photo of the occasion I can see the years have certainly gone by... I've only got one chin in this photo!

Thanks for popping in today. I can't wait to see what all the other LiMettes have done with this sketch. And wasn't it a phenomenal week last week? Almost 800 entries on the LiM challenge! It may not have been the 1000 but surely it broke some kind of record!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll hope to see you on Monday for a masculine card.

Hugs,
