Another autumn moment with French Foliage

It will come as no surprise at all to regular readers of my blog that I absolutely adore my French Foliage stamp set. Whatever I'm making, something from the set tends to sneak in! It's hard to imagine how it's going to work in my Christmas cards... but I'm sure I'll be able to use it somehow! But just in case I don't, here's another autumnal card using my favourite set in the whole world:

I used a left-over piece of the resist design I made for this card, rubbed the edges with versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I love the rich, decadent look this gives (it's as close to getting rich and decadent as I'll ever get!) And then (hopping up and down with excitement) LOOK AT THESE!!!

Aren't they the most beautiful brads you've ever seen in your life?! They're the new antique brads and I adore them. Looks like I'm not the only one either as they've gone out of stock - and at only £5.50 for 20 in five gorgeous, ornate designs it's easy to understand why! But they'll be back very soon and I strongly advise you to get your hands on them fast!

Have you spotted the sentiment? It's from Teeny Tiny Wishes - a fantastic new sentiment set which covers pretty much every occasion. All 24 sentiments fit perfectly in the Word Window punch - and I just snipped a ribbon tail into one side of mine.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, versamark ink
Card stock: Naturals Ivory, Confetti Cream
Other: Antique brads, clear and gold embossing powders, heat tool, 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in Old Olive, linen thread, Word Window punch, Itty Bitty punch pack, metallic brad
You're more than welcome to buy any of these supplies from me and I can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

For those of you that are curious about my new hair-do, here's a photo. Still a little windswept as the winds here seem quite determined to blow those leaves off the trees as soon as possible! One thing that took me by surprise me was how short my hair seems when I don't straighten it!

Thank you for having a look at my card today. I've got loads more to show you this week so do pop in again soon!

Hugs,

  3. Hi Vicky

    A gorgeous card!!

I too love gold embossing my edges .. .. I think it gives a great look .. .. as you have proved here.

Those brads are super scrummy .. .. I thought they were buttons to start off with. If I owned them I think I would struggle to use them as they are so beautiful and I would want to keep them to look at LOL!!!

Loving your new hairstyle .. .. mine would never stay like that without a who can of hairspray!!

    Love Jules xx
