Fresh Vintage sympathy

I love Sale-a-bration!  I'm always keen to see my customers getting freebies and if you're considering joining Stampin' Up, you'll benefit from the great-value starter kit plus an extra stamp set of your choice from any current catalogue! Click here for all the details.

I'm enjoying putting my Fresh Vintage stamp set through its paces. Today I made a sympathy card with it using the fabulous sketch at Young Crafters Unite.

The card contrasts sharply with yesterday's bright creation - I just wanted to show you how well the set works for a sombre occasion. Come and have a look:

I've used the large plant image to create the background and by stamping off have introduced shades of grey as well as black which gives it a bit of depth. The edges of the panel were sponged with Early Espresso ink.

I loved the sentiment banner in the sketch and have simply recreated it with a line scored either side to add interest. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs, a set which contains double sentiments to use inside as well as outside a card, and I inked only part of this one using a Basic Black marker. To accentuate the sentiment I stamped the large single flower in the set, cut it out and added one of the wonderful Vintage Brads. I cut my flower out by hand but I understand that the snowflake builder punch fits beautifully and will make shorter work of the task!

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Fresh Vintage, Petite Pairs
Ink: Basic Black, Early Espresso
Card stock: Very Vanilla, Naturals Ivory
Other: Vintage Brads, scoring blade, paper snips, stamp-a-majig
I'd be delighted to order any of these supplies for you and can have them delivered to your address in the UK. I am committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to help and advise. Just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593, and don't forget to let me know which free Sale-a-bration set or sets you'd like - remember, one item for EVERY £45 spent!

  10. I too love making papers from my stamps and this one is stunning; I like the sponging in early expresso, it just warms it up enough to soften the black.
Hope you have a really good day today !!!

  15. Uggg dentist and rain !! on their own they are bad enough but put them together not very nice at ll, unlike your card which is more than very nice. Love that gorgeous background stamp and how your scored the sentiment.Little touches like that are lways so prevalent on all of your cards and takes them to a higher level.
