Three minute Everybunny for baby

I have fallen in love with the gorgeous Everybunny stamp set, and have set myself the challenge of coming up with lots of different ways of using it. I want to prove that the set is an all-rounder that can be used for many different occasions, not just Easter. So can it be used for a quick card? Of course it can! And to celebrate the birth of a baby too - come and have a look:

How cute is this little image of the bunny in a shell?!! It's a doddle to colour too - just a sweep of two colours with an aqua painter and a touch of detail with a couple of markers and the job is done. Using watercolour paper is the quickest and most effective way of doing this but I found some scraps of Confetti White and it works well with that too. (I chose a piece that wasn't very speckled because I wanted a clean-looking image for my baby card.) The image fits beautifully in the Decorative Label punch too and makes a very quick card topper. Let's zoom in:

I love these colours and textures - there's something so soft and clean about them that makes them feel perfect for a baby card. The banner is so quick to make from scraps - just cut 1cm strips of each card stock, turn them back to back and cut the end diagonally; turn them back out and glue them side by side to form a ribbon-tailed banner.

Of course these days, we often know the gender of a baby before it's born but some people like a surprise (I know I did with my lovely babies!) But with a quick card like this one...

... it's no trouble to make a pink version too - to cover all eventualities! I shall enter this card into the Less is More challenge where Mandi and Chrissie are encouraging us to make a card out of scraps.

Supplies needed for this card:
Stamps: Everybunny, Teeny Tiny wishes
Ink: Basic Grey, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue or Pink Pirouette (for shell), Night of Navy or Regal Rose (for sentiment)
Card stock: Naturals Ivory, Very Vanilla, Confetti White, Baja Breeze or Pink Pirouette textured
Other: Markers, Decorative Label punch, aquapainter, paper snips, stamp-a-majig

Our dishwasher has given up the ghost and although I'll probably replace it at some stage, at the moment it's serving a purpose not to have one. Why? Well, because now the whole family takes it in turns to wash up after dinner and before the machine broke down, they didn't actually know how! I heard some very strange noises coming from the kitchen yesterday and, when I went to investigate, found my youngest son rubbing a plate with water so that it made a high pitched noise. "Hi Mummy," he said cheerfully. "Just making sure the dishes are squeaky clean!"

Thanks for visiting me today. I'll be back tomorrow and you're very welcome to join me!
