Papaya Collage in just two colours

Don't you just LOVE new stamp sets?! Well I do too - especially ones with birds in them! I'm enjoying putting the gorgeous new Papaya Collage set through its paces this week and my first creation uses just two colours of ink, Sahara Sand and Not Quite Navy...

... and I like the effect! The frame was stamped first and then masked while I added the ferns to the centre, stamping off to get the different tones. Once the ferns were in place, I sponged Sahara Sand ink over them, whisked away the post it notes and stamped the bird using a stamp-a-majig to ensure he was perched on the edge of the frame.

I used my matching markers to colour the frame and the bird and add shadows before cutting the frame out and mounting it onto a Sahara Sand card base using dimensionals. Do you like the sentiment? It's from a great new set called Itty Bitty Banners which has coordinating framelits to make cutting out a doddle.

Here's what you'll need to make this card
Stamps: Papaya Collage, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand
Card stock: Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Other: Bitty Banners framelits, markers, paper snips, stamp-a-majig

I'd be delighted to order any of these items for you and have them delivered straight to your address in the UK. I'm committed to providing excellent customer service and am always happy to offer help and advice. To place your order, just send me an email or give me a call on 01280 820593.

One of my favourite stories about my husband concerns a time we were waiting for a plumber to turn up. The man was late and my husband had been doing a fair amount of pacing until at last, looking out of the window, he said "Ah, here he is!" I glanced outside and was surprised to see that it was in fact one of our neighbours tripping along in high heels with her cute little westie on a lead. My husband wears glasses more regularly now you'll be glad to hear, but he still has his little moments. Yesterday, when we were out walking, he held me back at a driveway. "I think she's pulling out," he said, indicating the driver of a car with its engine running. "Is she indeed?" I said as the the driver backed out onto the street. "Well I must say I do like her moustache!"

I'll be back tomorrow with something quite different using the Papaya Collage set. Hope to see you then!
