Easter bonnets (and a 3 min card)

I wasn't going to do a Three Minute Thursday slot this week (because Easter is looming and my 'to do' list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter!) but when I uploaded my Easter bonnet photos, it occurred to me that the floral motif on them would make a sweet little quick card. Come and see:

I made these sweet Easter bonnets for my lovely Stampers 6 club ladies. They're made out of the treat cups on page 161 of the annual catalogue, with a brim cut out of Daffodil Delight card stock. I decorated them with matching stitched grosgrain ribbon and punched flowers and leaves with a sprinkling of pearls.

Unfortunately they didn't go entirely according to plan! The eggs I used for my prototype worked perfectly but were not the kind of luxurious chocolate I like to give to my ladies... unfortunately the yummy Lindor eggs were a tiny bit bigger and the brim of my bonnets ended up being slightly insecure, even with extra glue dots - sorry ladies! If you'd like to make some of these yourself using Lindor eggs, the shaker frames on page 177 of the catalogue will bridge the gap nicely as I discovered afterwards...

Here's the tiny notelet I made with the floral motif. At just 7cm square it's perfect for attaching to a gift or tucking into a potted plant or bouquet of flowers to bring along to an Easter Sunday lunch. The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes is exactly the right size for the group of three flowers which made me very happy!

Here's what you'll need to make this project
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Old Olive
Card stock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Punches: Itty Bitty punch pack, 2 step bird punch, 2 1/2" circle punch
Other: Treat cups, Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon, Basic Pearls, stamp-a-majig

Aaargh! I nearly forgot to publish my post today - a sure sign I need a break. There's no rest for the wicked though, so I'll be back again tomorrow with two more cards! See you then,
