Get Nuts About You from Stampin' Up - free!

While you're busily planning your order from the new Stampin' Up autumn/winter catalogue, don't forget that if your order comes to £150 or more, you'll be eligible for some amazing rewards! You can 'spend' your rewards anywhere in either current catalogue, including the exclusive, specially-priced hostess section on pages 237-240 of the annual catalogue. And that enables you to get even more for your money!

There are some fabulous hostess stamp sets available, including the one I used to make today's sweet card. Come and see:

This set is call Nuts About You and I am nuts about IT! It's one of those 'create a scene' style sets Stampin' Up does so well and in this case you can have all sorts of fun with life in the tree!

To get the green and brown tree, I coloured the rubber on the stamp with Stampin' Write markers before stamping and added detail to the leaves afterwards with a blender pen. My tree is home to a cheeky little yellow bird who is yelling thank you from the roof tops!

I grounded my tree with a strip of designer series paper from the Subtles stack and added a group of embellishments - an embossed die-cut button from the fabulous Little Pieces embosslits die; a piece of Crushed Curry bakers twine tied into a tiny bow; and my favourite tiny heart from the Owl Punch.

The other day my daughter and I were in the kitchen together, having one of our silly conversations. "Pass the nuts would you maman," said my daughter. "Of course!" I said. "After all, you are what you eat!" My daughter chuckled. "Well, I know you have a fondness for bananas..." she began but I interrupted: "Yes and you are keen on crackers!" My youngest son came into the kitchen at this point. "I like bacon!" he said rummaging about in the fridge. Er, it doesn't really work like that!

See you tomorrow,

  2. What a happy, chirpy card you've made.

Chuckling at your family conversation!!!! Very worried you were just about to say something rude about your son being a pig due to his penchant for bacon! XXX
